Technology In Advertising and PR

Technology in advertising and pr has changed drastically in the last 20 years. Technology has advanced to the point where everyone is constantly carrying a mini computer in their pocket. Advertisement had to change with the technology to stay relevent. Technology in advertising in 2018 through phones, video streaming services and computers has allowed advertising to expand significantly. People can become influencers and promote products, ads pop up on all social media platforms, and commercials on paid streaming services.

Technology always has new advancements, I am most excited for advancements in assisted driving cars. Technology in advertising has a code that can target you after searching certain things online or if you live in a certain area. This is advancing even today, helping companies target people who are looking for their products. As this advances companies need more people who know about  advertising to hold jobs.

I am interested in advertising due to my future career choice of Real Estate. In real estate I must be able to advertise the homes I am trying to sell. Learning about advertising will help me learn the basics of this job and allow me to become better in the future. Now that I have started my class in advertising and PR, I have become more interested in the field. Advertising is a broad field that every company needs help with. Advertising is fun and exciting. This class is my favorite I have this semester and I am looking forward to get deeper into the core of advertising. I did not realize how much advertising there truly is around us every day without us consciously realizing what it is. We as humans, who constantly use the internet are unaware of how much we are targeted with products/services.
